CS2

My CS2 does not work.

Follow the steps to check the problem out and solve it.

a) Check the wiring, make sure every connection is well connected.

b) Check the car charger light, it should be on. If not, the charger might be broken, email our customer service team.

c) Check whether the screen light is on and shows logo, if not, email our customer service team.

d) Check the numbers of versions shown on screen, it should be two.

e) If there is only one version on screen, re-connect your device.

There is a delay in the picture/My CS2 works intermittently.

You can check the length of your vehicle, it should be within 7 meters. If it is longer than 7 meters, email AUTO-VOX customer service team.

You can also check the installation place of the camera. Make sure the distance between screen and camera should be less than 5 meters. You can’t put the camera in a sealed/metal place. After that, reconnect the device and try again.

The bracket is not sticky.

Check the installation place, it should be flat. If not, try to use a dashboard pad.

Clean the bracket and wipe the installation place.

The image is reversed.

Please follow the steps below to adjust the image.

Please press the 'M' button to access the setting, press ▲ or ▼ to navigate to the 'Mirror/Normal' setting, then press the 'M' button to access it. Press ▲or ▼ to choose the 'Normal' option, then press the 'OK' button again and the image will switch to the normal mode.

How to turn off the guidelines?

Please press the 'M' button to access the setting, press the ▲or ▼ to navigate to the 'guideline' setting, then press the 'M' button to access it. Press ▲ or ▼ to choose the 'off' option, press the 'M' button again and the guidelines will be disabled.

How to choose the guidelines?

Step 1: Press the 'M' button for about 3 seconds and you will see a blinking guideline appear on the screen.

Step 2: Press ▲ or ▼ to choose the guidelines that are suitable for your car. There are 6 different sizes of guidelines for you to choose. Press the 'M' button to confirm your option.

The image is blurry/cloudy/foggy.

Please clean the lens on the camera. If this issue still exists, that means the camera may have a problem. Please send pictures to AUTO-VOX customer service team. We will figure out the problem and offer you support.

The image is laggy and freezes sometimes.

First, please follow the pairing instructions in the manual to reconnect the camera and monitor. Second, please move the antenna closer to the monitor.

The car charger has power, but the ‘indicator light’ on the side of the monitor doesn't light up.

The connection between the monitor power cable and the car charger may be loose, please disconnect them, then plug the monitor power cable to the car charger connector once again.

Can I mount a second camera?

The screen can connect to a second camera, but the cameras can not work at the same time. And when the two cameras have electric power at the same time, they will interference with each other. If you want to use two cameras and switch the image of two cameras in a monitor, we suggest you try AUTOVOX W7 Pro.

Can I hard wire the monitor?

Yes, please cut off the car charger plug, you will see a red wire and a black wire. Then connect the red wire to an ignition-switched fuse, black wire to the ground.

How can I get an extension cable?

If you need a 4-pin extension cable to connect the camera to the power box, please contact AUTO-VOX customer service team. If you need an extension cable for the red power wire or black wire, please purchase it at the local electrical store.

Solar 1

The menu on the screen does not work.

There might be a problem with the product. Contact AUTO-VOX customer service team by email. It would be better if you wrote the order number (from Amazon/Ebay/Website) in your email, so that we can handle the problem much more quickly.

When the car charger line is dangling, the device does not work as usual. Sometimes, there is no picture. How to fix it?

a) This might be caused by weak welding between wire and monitor. Tighten the wire which is close to the screen and see if the screen flashes. If the screen flashes, please contact AUTO-VOX customer service team by email.

b) This might be a problem with car charger line interface. Please contact AUTO-VOX customer service team by email.

What can I do if the solar panel gets water damage?

This might be caused by not covering the USB port well. Please contact AUTO-VOX customer service team by email. It would be better if you wrote the order number (from Amazon/Ebay/Website) in your email, so that we can handle the problem much more quickly.

The camera cannot be charged, solar cell light does not turn green.

This might be due to insufficient current of charger.

a) Check the charger, it should be higher than or equal to 5V/1.5A.

b) Use the right charger to see if the problem is solved.

The solar panel is fully charged with green light on, but it does not work.

a) Check status of switch on the battery, it should be manually pressed after every charging.

b) This might be caused by losing pairing information, reconnect the device again.

The device is out of power after a period of 2-3 weeks.

1. What's the temperature in your area now?

2. How many times do you use the product per day?

3. Is the product fully charged? (the solar panel light turns green when the battery is fully charged.)

What if the light in the car charger isn't on?

How can I charge the solar battery? Do I need to take it off the licence plate, charge it and reinstall it again?

You don't need to take out the solar battery. There is a Micro USB port on the battery. You can easily charge your phone using the USB cable we provide and your cell phone's power adapter. The signal light will be green once it's fully charged (about 4 hours).

Can it work in deep winter?

Yes, it works in winter. The Operation temperature is -20°C to 65°C.

Can it work with my 28ft RV?

Yes. If you have signal issues, you can contact us at service@auto-vox.com to get an extra antenna for the monitor.

The signal transmission distance of Solar 1 is far enough. It fits not only small cars but also the most medium-sized vehicles such as pickup trucks, cargo vans, and the small classes of RVs.

What is the capacity of solar lithium battery? Do I need to replace it? How long does the battery last after fully charging?

The capacity of the battery is about 3200 mAh, and the battery can be charged to use, there is no need to replace it. With 30 minutes of sufficient sunlight exposure per day, you only need to charge it averagely every two months of normal use (2-3 times per day under proper temperature).

Do I have to turn on the camera every time I use it or does it stay on all the time? Do I have to reconnect the camera and monitor after the engine is shut off?

The monitor is powered by the car charger, and it will power on when you start your car. It will keep the stay on time that you set last time.

T1400U

My TU does not work.

Follow the steps to check the problem out and solve it.

a) Check the wiring, make sure every connection is well connected.

b) Check the lights on car charger, transmitter and camera, they all should be on. If not, email our customer service team.

c) Make sure the distance between transmitter and screen should be within 3 meters.

d) Change the installation location, do not put the transmitter on C-pillar or rear ends of vehicle or other places that may interrupt the signal.

There is an intermittent image.

Check the installation place of the transmitter.

Make sure a) the distance between transmitter and screen should be less than 5 meters. b) Put it far from sealed/metal place c) No interference from other wireless devices.

I cannot see the picture clearly in the daytime.

This might be caused by overexposure.

You can use tape to cover the monitor light sensor, or email AUTO-VOX customer service team.

Can I mount a second camera?

The screen can connect to a second camera, but the cameras can not work at the same time. And when the two cameras have electric power at the same time, they will interference with each other. If you want to use two cameras and switch the image of two cameras in a monitor, we suggest you try AUTOVOX W7 PRO.

Can I hard wire the monitor?

Yes, please cut off the car charger plug, you will see a red wire and a black wire. Then connect the red wire to an ignition-switched fuse, a black wire to the ground.

The 'STOP' keeps flickering. How can I stop it?

You can cut off the green wire loop on the camera cable to disable it. But cutting off the green wire loop, the grid lines will be disabled as well.

Why is the image reversed?

It's normal. What's displayed on the screen is the same as the image on the vehicular rearview mirror. The reversed image is safer for drivers to park the vehicles when the backup camera is installed at the rear of the vehicles.

The screen flashes white, then goes dark.

The monitor will only display the image when the transmitter and camera are powered. Please check the following steps below.

Step 1: Check in reverse mode whether the red lights on the transmitter light up. If not, please check if red wire to the positive of the reverse light and black wire to the ground connection are loose.

Step 2: Check in reverse mode whether the LED on the camera lights up when covering the light sensor (the light sensor is under the camera lens). If not, please check the camera cable to the power box connection and the RCA connectors connections.

How far will it transmit?

Within 10 meters. If the vehicle is longer than 8 meters, we suggest you add an extension cable.

Does it fit my vehicle?

First, please remove your original mirror bracket to take pictures. Then send the pictures and your car brand information to our customer service team. So that we can help you to check whether it fits your vehicle or not.

W7

My W7 does not work.

Follow the steps to check the problem out and solve it.

a) Check the wiring, make sure every connection is well connected.

b) Check the car charger light, it should be on. If not, the charger might be broken, email our customer service team with the information above.

c) Check whether the screen light is on and shows logo, if not, email our customer service team with the information above.

M1 Pro

My M1PRO does not work.

b) Check the lights on the car charger and camera, both should be on. If 1) the charger light is not on, this might due to charger breakdown, replace a charger. 2) only the camera light is not on, this might be a problem with the camera, replace the camera and try again.

The rear view camera is not working.

Check the backup camera cable (video cable), and re-plug the cable to make sure whether it is tight or not. If the wiring is tight, that means the rear camera or video cable get problems.

When I reverse, it automatically switches to the front view. What can I do?

b) Unplug your back camera cable. 1) if it works, that means there is something wrong with the video cable or rear camera. Please contact our customer service team to replace it. 2) If it still doesn’t work, please move to the next step.

Grainy Screen.

My dash cam often automatically turns off or reboots, and the screen goes black while driving.

If you use the car charger as the power supply, try to unplug the rear view camera cable, if it works, the camera or camera cable might be broken, email AUTO-VOX customer service team.


If you use the hardwire kit as the power supply, please try to switch to a car charger.

b) If it does not work, unplug the rear view camera cable to see whether it works or not. If so, please contact AUTO-VOX customer service team by email with the above information, we will change the camera or the camera cable for you.

After I restart the dash cam, it resets the time every time.

We suggest you update the firmware first. If there is no help for the problem, that means the device or GPS module breakdown, please contact AUTO-VOX customer service team by email. What if the device shows no card or asks to format the SD card?

a) Try another card. Make sure the card meets our specifications (Class 10 card with a maximum 128 GB). We recommend Samsung or SanDisk 64GB, Class10.

The positioning or speed is not accurate.

Check the installation location. You should stick the GPS antenna on the dashboard with it facing up to receive a strong signal.

Note: Windshield with a reflective coating may emit heat to affect the GPS reception, you should stick it in the corner of your dashboard.

 

GPS does not work.

Check the GPS module cable, make sure it is not loose.

a) Clean the windshield with a lint-free cloth using water or alcohol.

b) Put the film on the windshield.

c) Stick the dashcam mount to the film by 3M tape, maintain pressure for 30 seconds.

d) Attach the dashcam to the mount.

Which hard wire kit would work for this dash cam?

The unit uses Micro USB port. So you need to purchase the hardwire kit with Micro type. Please check your vehicle's fuse type before purchasing the right type hardwire kit.
